We are responding to Covid-19

Since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, Première Urgence Internationale had adapted its intervention to contribute to preventing the spread of the virus and improve safe access to quality Covid-19 vaccination services for Libyans and non-Libyan communities in the isolated region of Al-Kufra.

In coordination with the Department of Health Services of Al-Kufra district and the National Center for Communicable Diseases Control, Première Urgence Internationale has supported the operationalization of 4 vaccination centers: Two in Al-Jawf, one in Tazirbu, and one in Rebyana.

Cold chain items, Personal Protective Equipment, and training sessions for frontline workers were provided to reinforce the local logistics and human resources capacities.

Also, a tailored Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) strategy have been developed to raise awareness at the community level and enhance the acceptance and demand for the vaccine by fighting infodemics.
