In July 2021, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) with the support of The European Union (DG-ECHO) and The Swiss Confederation (SDC), launched a project to promote the national vaccination campaign in Al-Kufra region. The project has been implemented in close coordination with the Al-Kufra Department of Health Services and the National Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC). It aims at supporting the operationalization of 4 vaccination sites and a Risk Communication and Community Engagement strategy to enhance the demand and acceptance of the vaccine.
